THE PLAN HAS CHANGED

We will not be sketching in Hoboken this Saturday

I assumed the smoke and orange sky would be done by Saturday.  I assumed it would blow out to sea or get beaten down by the rain.  Instead we are getting a very gradual clearing. It’s improving but the advice is still to stay indoors and limit outdoor activities.  If Covid taught us anything it’s that it’s often wise to use an abundance of caution.

A few people weighed in suggesting we consider a change of venues.  Thank you all.  

Fortunately we have an excellent alternative that is also indoors:

What:   Join us sketching at the High School of Art and Design Draw-a-thon

Tickets:  This is a fund raiser for the High School..  

• At the door the tickets are $30.  
• You can also use Eventbrite which will speed things up and costs $25 (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/art-and-design-draw-a-thon-fundraiser-17-tickets-600521143907)

Zoom:  You can also attend via Zoom .  Zoom link will be provided 45 mins before the event starts

Where:   The High School is at 245 East 56th Street, between 3rd Ave but closer to 2nd.

When:  The event starts at 10 AM and runs until 6 PM.   Sleeping late?  Come anyway - there will be a ton of people there no matter when you arrive.  

Lunch:  No set time.  The HS generally has food, sandwiches and drinks.  There are loads of stores and shops in the area.  Or bring your own.  

Show and Tell:  There won’t be a Show and Tell.

-    Chairs are provided.  Stools are unnecessary.
