WEDNESDAY: Westchester Sketchers at Scenic Hudson Park in Irvington

 


The Scenic Hudson Park at Irvington is on the Hudson River in the Village of Irvington in Westchester County. There are approximately 4.5 acres of open lawns for passive recreation, picnicking, and appreciating views of the Hudson Highlands and Hudson River. You can see the Manhattan skyline in the distance to the South and the new Mario Cuomo Bridge toward the North.

We will meet in the middle of the park by the bleachers. 

When: Wednesday, August 3, 2022. 

Start time: 10:30 AM.

Note: The park is accessed via Bridge Street, a local street that is between, and parallel to, the Hudson River and the Metro-North tracks.

Transportation from NYC: Take the Metro-North Hudson line from Grand Central Terminal to the Irvington train station. The park is a short walk from the train station.  You will need to cross over the tracks and turn left.  Keep walking until you see the Park entrance, and continue until you see the bleachers. 

Lunch1 PM. Bring your own food and beverage.  Location to be determined.

Show and Tell: Following lunch, we will share drawings and tell stories. This social part of our day is not to be missed.


NOTES:
- Bring a stool if you have one.  It gives you more options.
- Dress for sunshine. Bring a hat and sunscreen.
