What’s the hardest thing to draw?  The answer varies but most would agree that trying to sketch people moving around in public is very challenging.  This topic has come up a couple of times since we got back to sketching in public.  Sounds like we could use a day of vigorous people sketching.

The ideal place for us to sketch would have lots of people passing through.  It’s not too crowded.  It’s a place where people are doing things.  Sounds like most of NYC doesn’t it?

Let’s explore lower Manhattan.  We’ll meet by the Charging Bull (see photo) which is located on Broadway between Morris and Beaver Streets.  The area is filled with people but they’re mostly tourists with their NYC bucket list, going from one site to the next.  We’ll probably use Bowling Green Park for lunch (there’s good sketching there too.)
