SATURDAY: Sketch Chelsea Market


People, produce, products and an indoor waterfall 
all in a building with great architectural elements. 
the converted Nabisco Factory 
on 9th Avenue and 15th Streets.

This Saturday we will be in the hallowed halls of the ex -National Biscuit Company factory complex where (drumroll please) ... the Oreo cookie was invented and first produced.  Tell me that thinking about it doesn't send chills down your spine!

There's a little of everything at the Chelsea Market.  Lots of people, interesting stores in a sketchable space. 


DETAILS

When:    We will meet at 11 AM at the Chelsea Market

Where:   Meet inside the 9th Avenue entrance - 75 9th Avenue NY 10011 at 15th Street

How:      By subway, take A, C, E, L Line to 14th Street Station,  or any subway to 14th St and then the cross town bus towards 9th Avenue.

Lunch:    12:30  - Bring your own or stop at any of the numerous interesting eating places in the market

Afternoon:     1:30 PM Back sketching in the Market.

Show and Tell:   3 PM - Meet at the entrance.  S&T will be at a location to be determined where we will share drawings, good stories and a snack, beer or wine if you're so inclined.


NOTE 
-  Bring a portable stool if you have one. It adds to your comfort and increases your sketching possibilities.
