Weekday Sketchers at Brooklyn Museum on WEDNESDAY to See Women's Transformation Into Men After Death.
This is not a "ripped from the tabloids headline" but the exhibit in the Brooklyn Museum's renowned Egyptian Collection: A Woman's Afterlife, Gender Transformation in Ancient Egypt.
In order for women to make the transition to the afterlife, it was believed that they had to be changed into men after they died. Join us on WEDNESDAY to see how they did it! This exhibit contains 27 items from the museum's collection depicting the magical intervention that gave women the male powers to transform themselves after death so that they could safely enter the afterlife and rebirth.
