Weekday Urban Sketchers at the Gowanus Canal
Join us this week for a chance to sketch one of the iconic symbols of grunge in Brooklyn, the Gowanus Canal. Once the symbol of urban decay, this remnant of time when commercial enterprise polluted the environment, this neighborhood is now a mecca for upscaled urban living set in the industrial landscape that made it famous.
This will be the second part of a special event on the Gowanus and is open to all sketchers. Alessandro Brito (347-343-2556) will be our point person at the Whole Foods for those going directly to the sketch site and not on the canoe trip.
