Weekday Urban Sketchers Schedule


NO MEETING THIS WEEK!


In an effort to help you plan to attend the Weekday Urban Sketchers events, here is a list of meeting dates and places for the next month.


Week of August 28:  NO SCHEDULED MEETING 

September 7, 2017  Thursday.  Jersey City. 
                                     Part I: AM Tour of General Pencil Factory and sketch crawl. NOTE: this will be a limited event. Please watch for instructions on signing up. It will be a first come first served event
                                      Part II: Jersey City Waterfront. Open to all.  Come and capture the incredible views of lower Manhattan from the other side of the river.


September 12, 1017  Tuesday.  Hamilton Grange and City College.  
                                                  The Grange was Alexander Hamilton's summer home. This beautiful Federal Building and the Gothic Towers of City College will be a architectural tour through time.

September 20, 2017  Wednesday.  Morris Jamel Mansion and the Morris Jamel Historic District.  This building played a significant role in the Revolutionary War.  (Yes, Washington slept here!) With a wonderful colonial building and surrounding gardens it forms the center of an historic district which includes Sylvan Terrace, a street of beautiful wooden buildings and the surrounding White Stone houses of Washington Heights. 

September 28, 2017  Thursday. Gowanus Canal.  
                                                   Part I: EARLY AM canoe trip on the canal to capture the canal from the water.  This will be a limited first come first served event hosted by the Gowanus Dredgers
                                                    Part II: meet dockside but the Gowanus Dredger's boat house to continue our sketch crawl of the Gowanus Canal and surrounding district.
