The Hans Christian Andersen Storytelling Center is providing a wonderful program for children of all ages, featuring fairy and folk tales from around the world. Our own Karen De Mauro is the featured storyteller this Saturday. The event is centered around he Hans Christian Andersen statue "The Ugly Duckling" near 72nd Street & Fifth Avenue in Central Park.
The famous statue is located by the Central Park Model Boat Pond. It’s such a peaceful spot, filled with families and friends posing all day long in charming vignettes against beautiful backgrounds including the Fifth Avenue skyline peaking over the trees. What sketcher wouldn't be inspired?
