Weekday Urban Sketchers go Ice Skating Wednesday
Get ready for ACTION !
For the past few weeks we have been drawing things that are very still. This week its all action as we draw the skaters on the ice skating rink in Bryant Park. Lucky for us there is an indoor viewing area that is heated and has chairs and tables. Try to catch the action on the rink or the beautiful park with the classic library as a backdrop. Either way it will be a fine setting for some winter outdoor urban sketching.
DATE: WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2017
TIME: 10:30 AM
LOCATION: BRAYNT PARK
6TH AVE BTW 40TH AND 42ND STREETS
NOTE: We will meet on the second level of the observation area.
TRANSPORTATION: B, D, F, M to 42nd Street
Please RSVP directly to Raylie Dunkel at raylie@verizon.net. Looking for us? Call Raylie at 201-978-6387. Bring lunch or purchase it from any of the shops along the street or vendors in the skating rink. No need to bring a stool.
RAIN PLAN: The area we will be in is indoors and covered. If it is raining we can still sit there and sketch the skyline or go into the Library to sketch the architecture.
Follow Up to China Institute
Thanks to Muriel Applebaum for sending along the link to a wonderful review of the exhibit we saw at the China Institute. If you haven't been there the show will be up until March 19.
