Last night, the ad agency where I work invited the staff to a cocktail party at a rooftop bar in midtown.
The Empire State Building seemed so close, I felt like I could reach out and lean against it.
It was a festive evening, with good champagne, lobster rolls, and handsome young revelers. As you can see, I had other things on my mind.
It's all about priorities, right?
You can't take the artist out of the woman....great job! I'd probably be sketching too...after a lobster roll. lol
ReplyDeletethanks joan--of course i managed to have my share of lobster rolls, champagne, and conversation, too. i'm a good multi-tasker.
ReplyDeleteFor sure Shawne you've got a bad case. Lovely sketch of what must've been a great time.
ReplyDeletemerci, mark. wish i could've brought the whole gang. wait, actually i can! it's open to the public and would be a great spot for an USk outing.
ReplyDeleteLove the sketch! That is about as close as you can get for a view! Personally, I would have hovered over the lobster rolls, but only if there is no celery! Us New Englanders are fussy about our lobster rolls!
