Double Header - A Sketcher’s Choice for Saturday June 7th

You have two really interesting choices for sketching this weekend.

  1. You can attend an organized Draw Now! event at the Brooklyn Navy Yard
  2. Or you can attend the  NY & NJ American Society of Landscape Architects sketchwalk.

This post will give you the details of the Navy Yard event.
Richard Alomar will supplying details for the ASLA Sketchwalk at Hunters Point/Gantry Plaza in Long Island City.

Growing up in Brooklyn I've always been fascinated by the Navy Yard.  It was founded in 1801 by John Adams. It’s huge and covers over 300 acres including 40 historic structures and 3 city landmarks. This should be a fascinating location with fantastic views of lower Manhattan
