NYC's 42nd International Sketch Crawl January 25, 2014

In cities all over the world sketchers will be meeting this coming Saturday to capture their own unique vision in sketches.  Come join us in NYC:

AM Sketch - at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Conservatory

The Conservatory at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

The Gardens Open at 10 AM.  Our base of operations will be the Conservatory, whose indoor attractions include the Aquatic House, the Bonsai Museum, the Desert and Tropical Pavilions and the Warm Temperate Pavilion.  The winter light should be beautiful for outdoor sketching, weather permitting.

  • Starting time 10 AM - until Noon.
  • Located at 100 Washington Avenue with an entrance on Eastern Parkway
  • By Subway, 
    • the 2, 3 train to the Brooklyn Museum - Franklin Avenue
    • the 4, 5  train to Franklin Avenue
    • By Car - there is paid parking at the Gardens

The Brooklyn Museum
Current shows at the museum include the Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier,   - War Photography-  Images of Armed Conflict and it's Aftermath, Wangechi Mutu - A Fantastic Journey, Devine Felines - Cats of Ancient Egypt.  They building itself is a Beaux-Arts masterpiece with more than a half million square feet containing a collection of over 1.5 million works. The Brooklyn Museum is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the country. Its world-renowned permanent collections range from ancient Egyptian masterpieces to contemporary art, and represent a wide range of cultures.

    • By Car - On-site parking is available in the lot behind the Museum, off Washington Avenue.
