I caught an early train Into the city. Not a very early one, just earlier than necessary. I went to my usual haunt in Penn Station and had a big bowl of oatmeal, a large cup of coffee, read a book that lives in the iPod Touch and sketched the crowds outside the window as they either scurried or stood waiting.
Hey Patricia - I really hope schedules work out so we can sketch together sometime.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by your iPad work and love the look you get. The sketches look like they were made by a wood block printing technique I also like that you described how you make the sketches and what programs you're using. I downloaded the Sketch Club app on the strength of your recommendation and have been playing with it over the weekend.
I tried using the app to do some post sketching work on line drawings and loved the process, ... but wasn't so crazy about the results. I'll say this though, using the iPad app I was able to get results that were different than any other method I could have used.
Hi Mark.. Thanks for looking at my work and commenting. I am taking off from work on the 28th and will be downtown with the Central Park Sketching meetup group -lower east side. I think you all will be at the Bowery that day. I'm going to try to join up - sometime between 2-3 pm. You think that's possible? Still sketching that late? Of course I have to look at a map and see where I'll be and where I want to be.
